Hey! Welcome to the first article in the free Fiverr series with GOMISTORES.
Is this the first time you’ve heard the word “Fiverr“? Yes? Well, I’m not surprised at all. Because 3 out of 5 people do not know exactly what Fiverr is and how it works.
I am a 2nd tier seller (these levels will be described in a later article) Fiverr. I have been working on this platform for the last 1.5 years and it provides me with an adequate livelihood while working online for the comfort of my home.
Here is a small query to my Fiverr account showing the earnings and orders I have completed on this platform:
After updating my bio profile on my Facebook profile about Level 2 on Fiverr, from time to time I started to get a few messages asking me to share my “secret” tips to succeed on Fiverr. As the number of messages increased over time, I realized that people really wanted to know about Fiverr and how they could earn from it. That’s when I decided to start a Fiverr series to go into more detail about this platform. So, here I am with the first title of this series for you. I think it will be useful for you.
In this article, you will get a basic introduction to Fiverr and how it works. We also discuss whether Fiverr is free and safe to use. Let’s get started.
What is Fiverr?
Fiverr is an online marketplace that buys and sells a variety of digital services. Most services on Fiverr start at $ 5, hence the company name (5-wrong). Every day many people buy and sell Fiverr services.
Launched in 2010, Fiverr has become one of the largest websites directly connecting people around the world to buy and sell a variety of services.
Whether you are a content writer, graphic designer, programmer, digital marketer, illustrator or translator, Fiverr has a place for you. It gives you the opportunity to share your talents with the online world and make money while doing what you love.
How Does Fiverr Work?
Before diving into the other details, let’s first discuss some of the terminology used by Fiverr to get a better understanding of things.
- Gig: A service offered by Fever is called Gig.
- Seller: A user who provides gigs on Fiverr is called a seller. If you are looking for a job and you register on Fiverr to sell your services, you are a Fiverr “seller”.
- Buyer: A user who buys gigs on Fiverr is called a buyer. If you are looking to buy a gig on Fiverr, you are a “buyer”.
- Order: When a buyer buys a gig from a seller, it is called an order.
Fiverr is a two-way communication platform where buyers and sellers coordinate with each other for their service needs. A buyer can browse through the seller profile to find the best fit for their work. Similarly, a seller can look at buyer requests to find work with their skills.
Once a buyer and seller find each other, they place an order and set a specific time, target, and price for their project. Once a seller has completed his work, he hands over the work to the buyer. If the buyer approves the work, he marks the order as “complete”. Upon completion of the order, the seller receives his money (price determined by both the buyer and the seller before placing the order).
Processing fees and service charges on Fiverr
Buyer pays Fiverr in advance for orders. That’s why Fiverr urges buyers to carefully analyze the gig and read its description before placing an order. When a buyer is ready to buy, he proceeds to exit. There are processing fees for all purchases, up to $ 1 and 5% for purchases over $ 1 and over $ 20.
When a seller completes an order, Fiverr adds the buyer’s payment to the seller’s account. Fiverr reduces the service charge by 20% for each order completed by the seller. For example, after completing a $ 5 order you will receive $ 4 and Fever will deduct $ 1 as a service charge. If you complete a $ 10 order you will receive $ 8 and lose $ 2.
In addition, when a buyer completes an order, he also places a review of that order. This review is publicly displayed on your profile and you cannot edit or delete it. If you have good reviews on your profile, more buyers will want to work with you and place more orders for yours. So, here’s how Fiverr works!
Seller Levels on Fiverr
1. New Seller
Once you join Fiverr and create a gig, you will be automatically labeled as the new seller.
2. Level One Seller
As soon as you earn at least $ 400, you will be promoted to first-rate seller when you complete at least 10 individual orders and meet other requirements.
3. Level 2 Seller
When you earn at least $ 2000, complete at least 50 orders and meet other requirements, you become a Level 2 seller.
4. Top-Rated Seller
This is Fiverr’s elite group of sellers. Once you have earned at least $ 20,000, completed at least 100 orders and met other requirements, you are rated as the highest rated seller.
This is a manual process. Once you meet the specific requirements, Fiverr will review your account and your performance to ensure you qualify for this level.

Is Fiverr Free to Join?
Yes, joining Fiverr is completely free. There is no subscription fee, no registration fee or a hidden fee for listing your services. Fiverr will only charge you when you place an order as a buyer or complete an order as a seller.
Is Fiverr safe to use? Is Fiverr good? Can Fiverr be trusted?
The answer to all three of the above questions is yes, yes, yes!
Fiverr is a very popular marketplace and has very strict rules. It does not tolerate unsolicited mail, fraud, fraud or any kind of infringement debt. You are directly blocked. So, you have to be very careful while working here and obey their policies no matter what.
If you are a buyer, you may be intimidated by the idea of prepaying your money, but know that your payment will not go directly to the seller who does your job. If you are not completely satisfied with the job, Fiverr will pay you. If you are not happy with the seller’s work, you can ask for a refund. Legitimate and very convenient
In my experience with Fiverr, I have never been the victim of any kind of fraud and my earnings have always been safe. If you are a seller, it takes Fiverr 15 days to transfer the proceeds of each completed order to your account. But still, I never had any problems clearing payments or withdrawing money.
So yes, I can safely say that Fiverr can be trusted with its services.
Fiverr is a great place to sell your talent and make money from it, but I think it’s not as easy as raising your voice. Working on this platform requires a great deal of consistency, effort and patience.
I’m not saying sugar coat for you, because I do not believe it. I do not want you to believe that Fiverr is a rich palace you are entering. All the problems related to your money will disappear. No, it’s not going this way.
As long as you stick to it and nothing works. Working on Fiverr is a business and every business requires a lot of effort, time and determination. All efforts to create gigs, polish your services, attract buyers and expand your work are requested to stick to this platform.
This Fiverr series will only be useful to you if you are serious and determined to do things for yourself. No magic, no shortcut, no hard work and much more. So, if you want to work hard, there is nothing stopping you from succeeding on Fiverr.
In the next article, we will talk about how you can register on Fiverr and how to choose what to sell on this platform. So, stay tuned!
